Reported by Antara News just now, PT Telkom; the Indonesian telecommunication company, right now is seeking to acquire shares in the Iranian state telecommunications company. PT Telkom is planning to be its strategic partner. Althought there are no complete report on how many shares that PT Telkom will acquire, however, if the Iranian Company have a willingness to release up to 20 percent , according to Tanri Abeng, the company`s chief commissioner, PT Telkom will participated.
Tanri Abeng also said that the company would acquire the Iranian telecommunications company shares through PT Telkom Internasional Indonesia (TII), which is PT Telkom`s subsidiary responsible for dealing with international technology and information service and telecommunications company acquisition.
